01 Why rent a grader

Level ground is designed, then cut

A road, a parking yard or a building pad only works if its surface sits at the right height and drains the right way. Getting there by eye rarely holds up.

A motor grader is the machine that turns a rough site into that planned surface. Its long blade hangs under the frame between the front and rear wheels, and the operator can raise it, lower it and angle it while the machine rolls forward. Pass after pass, high spots are shaved, low spots are filled from the spoil, and the ground is trimmed to the slope on the drawings.

You would book one when a dirt road needs reshaping, when base material has to be spread evenly before the roller, or when a lot or an entire subdivision must be brought to grade. Our CASE grader works on Creatio projects across the region, and renting it from us puts it within reach of your job too. The grader is one machine within Creatio's construction equipment rental in Los Cabos range.

04 Applications

Where a grader earns its keep

If your next stage looks like one of these, a motor grader belongs on the schedule.

  1. Dirt and access roads

Reshaping worn, rutted surfaces on unpaved roads and restoring the crown so rainwater runs off to the sides.

  2. New road construction

Spreading base material in even layers and setting the road profile before the roller and the paving crew arrive.

  3. Residential lots and pads

Bringing a lot down or up to the level of the plans so the foundation starts on a true, flat base.

  4. Commercial and industrial sites

Leveling yards, parking areas and building platforms where a large footprint has to finish at one consistent height.

  5. Subdivisions and developments

Opening internal streets and grading rows of lots when a whole urban or rural development is being prepared.

  6. Wide infrastructure areas

Public works and open ground that need precise cutting and leveling over a large surface rather than a single lot.

05 Choosing the machine

When do you need a motor grader?

A grader is a finishing tool for long, open surfaces. It works alongside the other machines on a site rather than replacing them, so start from the job in front of you.

  1. Shape a road or a wide area to a set level and slope

The long blade trims a large surface evenly in repeated passes.

    Motor grader Plan the grader

  2. Load trucks, carry fill or stockpile material

A bucket moves material from one place to another. The grader then spreads it.

    Front loader Front loaders

  3. Work inside a small or fenced lot

Tight spaces leave no room for long passes, so a compact machine suits them better.

    Skid steer Skid steers

  4. Firm up a layer once it has been graded

Graded material is still loose. A roller presses it into a solid base.

    Compactor Compactors

  5. Dig trenches, footings or deep cuts

Digging below the surface is a job for a boom and bucket, not a blade.

    Excavator Excavators

Not sure which one fits? Describe the site and what it should look like when you are finished, and we will be straight with you about which machine, or which combination, makes sense.

06 Why book with us

The owner answers the phone

Heavy equipment rental in Los Cabos is easier when the company quoting you also owns, moves and runs the machine.

  • Our own grader

The 865B belongs to the Creatio fleet, not sourced from a third party when you call.

  • Local to Cabo San Lucas

Our yard and our team are local, and the grader leaves from town for jobs around the cape.

  • Over a decade of building

We grade for our own construction work too, so we plan your job the way a builder would.

  • An operator only when you want it

Bring your own operator, or add a trained member of our staff to the booking.

  • One request for the whole sequence

The roller, dump trucks and aggregates can be booked with the grader in the same conversation.

07 Operator option

Your crew or ours on the blade

Operator available on request. The grader is quoted on its own unless you ask us to include an operator.

Option 1

Grader only

We deliver the CASE VHP 865B and a qualified person you employ operates it until the rental ends.

Option 2

Grader and Creatio operator

Need an operator? We can send one of the trained equipment operators on our staff. Each one is a Creatio employee who already operates our equipment and knows this grader.

Say in your first message if you would like our operator, so we can reserve the same dates for both and include the cost in one quote.

08 Service area

Grading from the cape to the coast

Looking for motor grader rental in Cabo San Lucas? That is where the grader is kept. From there it serves San José del Cabo and every other corner of Los Cabos, and it heads north to the East Cape or out to Todos Santos for projects on that coast.

Each booking depends on the grader's calendar. Delivery is worked out from how far away you are and what the access road is like, and that cost is included in the quote.

10 FAQ

Motor grader rental questions

Answers to what builders, developers and property owners ask ahead of booking the CASE grader.

Which motor grader does Creatio rent?

We have one: a 2016 CASE VHP 865B. Creatio owns it, it is stored at our Cabo San Lucas facility, and every photo on this page shows that exact unit.

What is a motor grader used for?

Shaping ground. Its long blade sits between the front and rear wheels and can be raised, lowered and angled, so the operator can cut high spots, spread loose material and trim a surface to the level and slope the plans call for. Roads, building pads and wide lots are its usual work, ahead of the roller and the paving crew.

Is the CASE VHP 865B suitable for road work?

Yes. Building and maintaining roads is the first use Creatio lists for this grader. It suits dirt access roads that need reshaping as well as new roads where the base has to be spread and leveled before compaction. Send us the length, the width and the current state of the road, and we will work out an approach from there.

Can I use the grader for site preparation?

Yes. Leveling land before residential, commercial or industrial construction is one of its main jobs. Keep the size in mind: the published blade width is 4.3 to 4.6 m and the operating weight is roughly 14,500 to 15,500 kg, so it needs room for long passes. On a small or enclosed lot, a skid steer may be the better choice, and we can help you decide.

Is it a good fit for subdivisions and larger developments?

Very much so. Earthwork on urban and rural developments is one of the uses Creatio publishes for the 865B, from opening internal streets to leveling a row of lots. On projects like these we can schedule the grader alongside our roller, dump trucks and aggregates.

Can I rent the grader with an operator?

Yes, if you ask. We assign a member of our own staff who already runs Creatio machines, and that cost is listed separately in the quote. Nobody is added to the booking unless you want it.

Is renting the grader without an operator possible?

Yes. If your crew includes an experienced grader operator, say so in your message and the price will cover only the machine.

What details should I send for a quote?

The site location, the kind of work, what you are grading and an approximate area, your start date, the rental length you expect and if you would like our operator along. Pictures of the ground and of the truck access make planning much easier.

Can you transport the grader to my job site?

Yes. We haul the grader from Cabo San Lucas, where it is stored, out to your project. That charge is set by the haul distance and by truck access to the work area, and it is built into your quote rather than charged as a flat rate.

What rental periods are available?

We do not work from a fixed menu of terms. The rental period is agreed for each job, based on the area to be graded and your timetable, and it can be extended if the work takes longer.

Do you serve San José del Cabo and the wider Los Cabos area?

Yes. The grader works across Los Cabos, including Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, and travels to the East Cape communities of La Ribera and Los Barriles, to Todos Santos and to other nearby areas.

How do I confirm the grader's availability?

Send us your dates by phone, WhatsApp, email or the contact form. Because the grader also goes out on other jobs, we compare its calendar with your dates and give you a clear answer when we reply.
